The uniqueness of viharaini is its location which is in the hills and directly faces the sea (Loji Beach). To get to the top level of the Vihara building, visitors have to climb about 500 steps. Nam Hai Kwan Se Im Pu Sa Temple was built by Anothai Kamonwathin (& ldquo; Mama Airin & rdquo;), an ethnic Thai who has become an Indonesian citizen. Mama Airin was the sole initiator of the construction of this monastery until it was founded on August 8, 2000. The entrance to the Nam Hai Vihara is a series of stairs totaling around 300 (some count up to 400). The steps are flanked by a pair of Thai dragon ornaments with seven heads and a pair of stone lions.
