Tegal Pamakanan is a part of the Mount Beas ophiolite complex. The rocks in this location are still dominated by peridotite and gabbro, as well as plagiogranite cracks in peridotite. Tegal Pamakanan is the closest moor from the entrance of Cikepuh Wildlife Reserve. This place is suitable to be used as a camping ground because of its strategic position (the center of the Cikepuh Wildlife Reserve Center), open land and close to water source.
